Carol Joynt wrote a letter to Mayor Fenty, Jack Evans, and ANC2E expressing unhappiness at temporary no parking signs posted in Georgetown. From her website: "For the past week we had 'no parking' signs taped to the trees and sign posts covering half the block, effective from early in the morning until 5 PM each day, including Saturday. But nothing happened. No city work crews, no moving vans. No one and nothing showed up to employ the empty stretches of road, and all the while residents were denied at least 20 spaces." More signs were posted the next day, renewing the restriction.
