Wall Street Journal Recognizes Washington Fine Properties
July 9, 2012Washington Fine Properties (WFP), the leading luxury real estate brokerage in the Nation’s Capitol Region has been recognized in the Wall Street Journal’s Real Estate Top 250. WFP had more individual agents recognized for Sales Volume than any other firm in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Acknowledged as Individual Agents by Sales Volume were Nancy Taylor Bubes, W. Ted Gossett, Mark McFadden, Marsha Schuman and Margot Wilson. Acknowledged as Top Agent Teams by Sales Volume were the team of William F.X. Moody and Robert Hyrniewicki and the team of Ellen Morrell, Matthew McCormick and Ben Roth.

And The RAMMY Winners Are

The 2012 Restaurant Association of Metroplitan Washington Awards for best culinary achievements, better known as The RAMMYS, were held June 24th at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
Winners included Rasika executive chef Vikram Sunderam (of the original in Penn Quarter, but look for Rasika West End next year), and new-comer Black Jack Bar (above Pearl Dive Oyster Palace on 14th Street) for Hottest Restaurant Bar Scene.

For the first time, a museum restaurant won: Mitsitam Native Food Café in the National Museum of the American Indian.
Georgetown's Bourbon Steak took home honors for Best Fine Dining restaurant.
And another Georgetown connection: Ed Witt of 701 Restaurant (formerly and briefly at Morso) won Rising Culinary Star.
Jeff and Barbara Black of Black Salt Group (includes Black Salt and Pearl Dive Oyster Palace) won Restaurateur of the Year.
